Suspect Passes Gas So Loudly Missouri Police ‘Sniff Him Out’

LIBERTY, MO — Everybody passes gas. Everybody. And if they don’t, it’s a sign something is seriously wrong. A suspect police were sniffing out in the Kansas City suburb of Liberty may not have to worry about that, but his troubles mounted when he let ‘er rip so loudly that he gave up his hiding spot.

The account of the arrest of the suspect, who was wanted for drug possession, wound up on Facebook, where junior high humor is reaching a zenith. It started with a comment by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office: “We’ve gotta give props to Liberty PD for using their senses to sniff him out.”

Facebook users appreciated the humor.

“You guys have put out some great posts, but this is next level stuff. Fantastic. Thank you,” one user wrote.

“The winner of all posts this week,” another commented.

On Twitter, one person even wrote a little poem:
