The report compares hospitals across the Kansas City area on infections, surgery problems, safety practices, and staffing, helping residents gauge where to seek care.
   

3. Legislators clash over 'No Foreign Laws Act' (waynecojournalbanner.com) — Lee’s Summit’s own House Speaker Jon Patterson played a key role in managing heated debate over Missouri’s proposed “No Foreign Laws Act,” which prioritizes the state constitution over international bodies like the WHO and UN. Lawmakers clashed over COVID-19, public health guidance, and fears of targeting Muslim communities before the bill passed 99-45 and headed to the governor’s desk.

MSU football working to flip SEC commit, offers 3-star LB (usatoday.com) — A Lee’s Summit, Missouri linebacker, Caleb Green, has drawn new attention after Michigan State offered him a scholarship despite his recent commitment to Missouri. The three-star 2027 prospect is now being courted to visit East Lansing, putting his still-fresh pledge to the Tigers under added pressure.
