Virginia McDowell to continue Beta Gamma Sigma’s Centennial Speaker Series
Virginia McDowell, President and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, will speak at the second Meet the Leaders of Business event on November 29, 2012, as part of the international business honor society Beta Gamma Sigma’s Centennial celebration. The Meet the Leaders of Business series is a Beta Gamma Sigma Centennial program that allows prominent men and women of business to discuss their unique business perspectives. The event will take place at the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University.
Over the past ten years, McDowell has analyzed corporate strategy, researched customer trends and studied competitive markets resulting in a unique perspective among gaming operators. Prior to her current roles as chief executive officer and president, she served as chief operating officer for Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. Her proven leadership experience in both regional and destination markets are coupled with success in the areas of operations, information technology, business development, and marketing, including sales, corporate communications and branding. McDowell was named Gaming Executive of the Year in 2009 by Casino Journal Magazine.

The Meet the Leaders of Business Centennial Speaker Series celebrates Beta Gamma Sigma’s 100th anniversary in 2013 and presents prominent business professionals discussing a wide variety of business topics. Beta Gamma Sigma and the event host, the John Cook School of Business, have arranged that it be broadcast via webcast, which will allow members worldwide to view and participate in the event no matter where they are geographically. The final Meet the Leaders of Business event will take place in Malibu, Calif. on February 19, 2013, which is also Beta Gamma Sigma’s Founders’ Day and 100th anniversary date.
