#GivingTuesday

You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On Tuesday, November 27, there's now #GivingTuesday and United Way of Greater St. Louis is involved.

#GivingTuesday’s mission is: a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations.

You can learn more about it here; and United Way's involvement here.

United Way hopes you will take a few moments on Tuesday, November 27 to join us in our project:

  • Snap photos of people (or you) holding a sign you can find on our Facebook page here that they fill out, letting us know how they help people
  • Then, you can either tweet it (using the hashtag #givingtuesday and our handle @unitedwaystl), or post it on Facebook and tag United Way of Greater St. Louis (like us first).

We will, of course, share your photo(s) by retweeting (if you tweet) and by compiling a photo album on Facebook.
