HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS “SIGN” THE FIRST OF THEIR 2012 DRAFT PICKS

(PHOENIX, July 11, 2012) – Just two weeks after their sixth annual player draft, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters have come to terms with the first of their draft picks, as Dylan Richter has decided to hang up his basketball shoes and step into the corporate office.  Richter, who recently interned with the Globetrotters’ digital team, has been hired on full-time as digital marketing manager, effective immediately.

Following a stellar college playing career at Washington University in St. Louis – during which he helped win a national title and received numerous individual accolades – the Lincolnshire, Ill., native was one of six athletes selected in the Globetrotters’ 2012 Draft.  The Globetrotters also selected 2012 College Slam Dunk Champion James Justice of Martin Methodist College, three-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, Iesha Davis, sister of #1 overall NBA Draft pick Anthony Davis, College Slam Dunk semi-finalist Bryan Narcisse of Clemson University, and Division II All-American Stefan Bonneau of C.W. Post.

In his role as digital marketing manager with the Globetrotters, Richter – who graduated with a B.S. degree in business administration and marketing – will be responsible for the execution of social media, email, and website programs.
