Maplewood Residents and Business Owners Online Citizens Academy Registration is Available Now!

City of Maplewood Citizens Academy  

Be all that you can be! 

Ok, so it is not the army but it will prepare you for being a knowledgeable citizen.  Learn about the city budget, administration, government, boards & commissions, departments and all of the services that are offered to residents and businesses in Maplewood.

Tour the fire department and spend time with the police department.  Citizens Academy allows citizens to see and hear from their elected officials and city government employees to find out how the City administration and each department operates on a day-by-day basis.

The Academy runs Wednesday nights for six weeks.  Sessions are 2 hours from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.   Reservations can be made now for the fall session that will be held in October/November 2012.  The class requires a minimum of 8 citizens to take place.

You can register online at cityofmaplewood.com/ca-registration or by calling Karen Scheidt at 645-3600 and the Citizens Academy Syllabus will be sent to you.  Enrollment is now being accepted and is limited to 24 citizens (residents and business owners).
