Parkinson’s Disease Foundation Offers National Online Seminar on the Progression of Parkinson’s on Tuesday, June 26
WHAT: “Understanding the Progression of Parkinson's” is a one-hour national online seminar, or PD ExpertBriefing. It is the last of a series of six free online seminars hosted by the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF), a New York based not-for-profit. This PD ExpertBriefing will discuss how Parkinson’s disease progresses and provide practical tips on how to plan for the future. Online viewers will be able to ask questions directly to the faculty during the second half of the seminar.

WHY: Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects nearly one million people in the US. Although promising research is being conducted, there is currently neither a cure for Parkinson’s, nor are their medications that can reverse its course. PD ExpertBriefings are presented by leaders in the field of Parkinson’s research and care. The seminars offer practical advice for living with Parkinson’s – including issues regarding caregiving, employment, nutrition and more – and discuss the latest scientific findings in Parkinson's.
