Urban Strategies congratulates Sandra M. Moore who recently received two prestigious honors:
The Washington University School of Law Distinguished Law Alumni Award
and The St. Louis Community Empowerment Foundation Civic Leadership Award.
The Washington University School of Law recognized Sandra as one of its 2012 Distinguished Law Alumni at the 12th Annual ceremony on Friday, April 20, 2012. A double-graduate of Washington University, Moore holds B.A. degree in Urban Studies and a J.D. degree from the School of Law. The Distinguished Law Alumni Award celebrates past graduates for their achievement in the field of law, and honors alumni who have achieved distinction in their professional or academic careers. Those selected for the honor are recognized for their leadership, progressive thinking, high standards, uncompromising integrity, commitment, courage, and confidence. The award pays tribute to Sandra’s lifelong investment to transforming systems and improving conditions for people.

The St. Louis Community Empowerment Foundation acknowledged Sandra with the Civic Leadership Award at the 9th Annual Salute to Women in Leadership Luncheon held on Friday, May 4, 2012. The St. Louis Community Empowerment Foundation, also known as Vashon/JeffVanderLou Initiative, is a City-wide community planning and service organization designed to develop workable solutions and sustained improvements to blighted inner-city areas. Each year, the organization recognizes select leading women with significant career achievements in education, public service, business, civic and corporate leadership. The honor celebrates Moore’s continuous efforts to improve the quality of life for in the St. Louis region.
