Dittmer, Missouri farmer Ivan Stoilov teaches this class about successful fig growing practices. The Missouri/Illinois climate necessitates special methods to grow figs because fig trees are not cold-tolerant. The class includes recipe sharing and a Q & A session.
Each participant will receive a small tree ready to produce figs this summer. Two people may participate from one household for the single class fee, however each household will only receive one tree. Additional trees may be purchased at the class. RSVP to: Kelly@slowfoodstl.org.
