Refashion an Old Favorite

Turn a forgotten favorite into a new garment for summer! Emily Hemeyer, local artist, will open your mind to creative ways to reconstruct old clothing into new pieces. Rummage through the back of your closet for those lost favorites and bring several pieces to work with during class. Choose sturdy natural fabrics, cotton blends, or thick polyester. Using a surger and a vast array of exciting tools you’ll be splicing and reworking your pieces. Keep in mind that simple designs (A-line skirts, basic dresses, t-shirts, blazers, pants, and the like) work best. No previous sewing skills needed.
