Slow Food St. Louis and the Schlafly Bottleworks present SLOWednesday after the Schlafly Farmers Market. Each month a different farmer from the market will speak about their farm, giving you the opportunity to get to know your food.
The authors of “Missouri Harvest” will be featured at SLOWednesday on July 11. In the book, authors Maddie Earnest and Liz Fathman take you on a tour of all that Missouri has to offer for those interested in eating and shopping locally, whether you are a committed locavore or just developing an interest. They introduce you to the farmers who raise the food, to the purveyors who bring it to you, the chefs who prepare it, and some of the people who are active in making it all happen through the support of local businesses.
