Melting snow and rain contributed to a blocked storm grade near the intersection of Manchester Road and Big Bend Boulevard at around 12:15 p.m. on Friday.
Crews from Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) started draining water from a flooded lane into a sewer opening across the street. Foreman Jerry Somogye expected crews to ease the flooding by 1 p.m., but he said the street needs a new storm grade structure. Somogye hopes MSD can replace it within two weeks.
