After weeks of delays, drivers can finally pass from Hanley Road to Brentwood Boulevard using the Litzsinger Bridge. The bridge opened to traffic on Wednesday.
City officials expect the new bridge in the area. A center column supported the previous bridge, which trapped debris and caused flooding during heavy rainfall. The new bridge features an open design to prevent those problems.
The bridge was originally scheduled to open in mid-January, but stalled project construction.
