On Saturday, October 5, 2013, Max Muscle Sports Nutrition – 2554 S. Brentwood in Brentwood - will be hosting a Bench Press contest to support JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

The contest will be open to men and women of all ages, with several categories-- so everyone has a fair chance to win!  Entry will be $5.00 per shot, with all proceeds benefiting JDRF.  You can donate $1.00 or any amount you would like through October 5 to purchase a paper JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes sneaker which will go on our wall of fame in the store.

Everything in the store October 5th will be Buy One Get One 50% OFF and a portion of all sales will also go to JDRF.  This is a great way to stock up on your favorite Max Muscle products and help fund the research to treat, cure and prevent T1D (type 1 diabetes.)

The Bench Press Contest will run from 12 Noon- 5 PM with drawings for great prizes throughout the day.  Stretch out those pec muscles and come show how strong you are, while giving support to a good cause.  Max Muscle Sports Nutrition is located at 2554 S. Brentwood Blvd, 63144, about a mile south of the Galleria.  You can also donate over the phone by calling 314-962-0060.

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.

As the largest charitable supporter of T1D research, JDRF is currently sponsoring $530 million in scientific research in 17 countries. In 2012 alone, JDRF provided more than $110 million to T1D research. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education. In 2012 Forbes magazine named JDRF one of its five All-Star charities, citing the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness.

See you on the 5th!  Daniel Nobel
