Nutrition 101

On Thursday, November 21, 2013, the Mid-County Family Y is pleased to welcome Shannon Buescher for an interactive dialogue with Y members.  Shannon will specifically address maintaining nutritional goals during the holidays, how to be aware of and stop emotional eating and lastly, how to sustain a balanced diet throughout the holiday season.

Shannon Buescher - MS, RD, LD
With a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Masters in Nutrition & Physical Performance, Shannon possesses over 10 years of extensive experience in nutritional counseling with a special emphasis on eating disorders.  Shannon has additional experience with treating eating disorders in residential and outpatient settings.  This experience led Shannon to start her own practice in 2004 where she counsels adolescents, women and men who struggle with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, compulsive exercise and disordered eating.  Shannon's ultimate goal is to help her clients improve their relationship with food and themselves.
