Election Results: Several Close Races in Missouri Primary Election (komc.com) — Voters in Stone and Christian counties have approved a new sales tax for the Nixa Fire Protection District, directly impacting local funding for emergency services. The primary also brought close Republican races for county offices, party committee seats, and several statewide ballot measures. Turnout topped a quarter of registered voters in both Taney and Stone counties.

Curtis Trent in the GOP primary for Missouri’s 20th Senate District. Her self-funded, outsider campaign emphasized skepticism of AI data centers and calls for more transparency in the state Senate, setting up a November race in a strongly Republican district.
4. 2026 Fall Preview: Lebanon Football (ozarkssportszone.com) — Lebanon’s football team is rebuilding after graduating 23 seniors, with returning quarterback Beckett York and running back Elisha Simmonds leading a largely new lineup. Simmonds is back from a collarbone injury suffered against Nixa, and the Yellowjackets expect to grow through a tough COC schedule. Their season kicks off at home against Republic on Aug. 28.
