BATTLE OF THE MINDS FOR CHILDREN'S CARDIOMYOPATHY FOUNDATION

The Beat Goes On Trivia Night & Silent Auction will be held Friday, October 23, 2015.

Pediatric Cardiomyopathy is a rare and under diagnosed disease of the heart muscle that can lead to heart failure and sudden death in the very young. Unfortunately, there is no current cure or treatment that can return the heart to normal or guarantee long term survival. Although occasionally children with certain types of cardiomyopathy do improve, the vast majority do not show any recovery in heart function. If detected in the earlier stages, cardiomyopathy may be controlled with long-term drug therapy and placement of a pacemaker/ defibrillator.

We are raising funds to help the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation (CCF) continue their research for cures while improving diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for children. The hope is that one day every affected child can be cured to live a full and active life. CCF’s mission is to accelerate the search for a cure by stimulating and supporting promising research on pediatric cardiomyopathy, by educating and assisting physicians and patients on the complexities of the disease, and by increasing awareness and advocacy on behalf of affected children and their families.
