FZN Senior Dacey Brister recently committed to play football at Fort Hays State located in Hays, Kansas. Brister will join FZN teammate, Blake Wilson, who signed with Fort Hays last month. Brister was a stand-out on the defensive side of the ball for the Panthers the last two seasons. He was selected as a member of the GAC Central "All-Conference" team following both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. In both of those seasons, the Panthers captured the conference and district titles, amassing an impressive 21 - 3 record during that time. In 2014, Brister was selected as the GAC Central Defensive "Player of the Year", a season that saw him set a new school mark for tackles (177) in a single season. In addition to his "All-Conference" accolades, Brister was named twice as a 2nd team member of the Missouri Class 5 "All-State" squad. Brister finished his career at FZN 307 tackles, 12 sacks, 15 fumble recoveries, and 4 interceptions.
Fort Hays State is a member of the powerful MIAAA conference and is affiliated with the NCAA Division 2.
