A Thousand and One Nights: An Evening of Middle Eastern Dance at SCC

The St. Charles Community College Continuing Education Department is hosting a Middle Eastern dance student recital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in the auditorium of the Social Sciences Building at SCC. This event is free and open to the public.

The recital is performed by students of instructor Heather Ward’s belly dance classes at SCC, as well as her “Madrasat Nisaa” student dancers from her personal studio.

“The performance is entertaining, as well as educational,” Ward said. “The student dancers showcase the vibrant, beautiful art of belly dance, as well as other traditional dances of Egypt.”
