
Boys Basketball
The Boys Basketball team finished in 3rd place at the CBC Tournament held last week. The Panthers were defeated in the semi-finals by the eventual tournament champion, CBC, despite a 41 point effort from Chaz Glotta. The Panthers rebounded in the 3rd place game as they defeated the #8 ranked area small-school, St. Charles West, by a score of 56 - 47. Once again Chaz Glotta paced the Panther effort as he scored a game high 25 points for the Panthers.
The Panthers returned to league play on Tuesday night as they traveled to Washington for a GAC Central match-up. The Blue Jays from Washington proved to be a formidable challenge as they jumped to an early lead and never looked back in defeating the Panthers by a 62 - 52 margin. The loss dropped the Panthers to 1 - 1 in GAC Central play, and 7 - 6 overall. Ryan Daniel led all Panther scorers against Washington with 16 points.
The Panthers return to action this Friday (1/24) as the host Hazelwood West. Tip-Off is schedule at 6:30 pm.
