The FZN Cross Country teams competed in two meets last week. Early in the week the team participated in the Troy Invitational, before ending the week by competing against some of the better teams in the St. Louis area at the Hazelwood West Invitational. Senior, Riley Flynn, continues to set the pace for the FZN boys as he medaled at both events (3rd - Troy, 14th - HW). At Troy the boys garnered two additional medalists in Matt Buese (19th) and Ryan Deeken (20th). The girls continue to turn heads as they had another outstanding week. The girls team finished an overall 2nd place at Troy by placing four individual runners, Tori Nesslage (2nd), Jocelyn Quiles (5th), Hope Knoph (9th), and Hannah McNiff (16th), in the top twenty. At Hazelwood West three Panther runners, Tori Nesslage (5th), Joclyn Quiles (18th), and Olivia Dove (23rd), finished among the top twenty-five to earn medals.
The Panthers compete this weekend (10/5) at the Parkway West Invitational.
