A Legendary Milestone for Fort Zumwalt North Football

Long-time Fort Zumwalt North football coach Joe Bacon was recently inducted into the St. Louis Metro Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame!

Before taking the reins as head coach in 2008, Bacon dedicated a decade to the program as an assistant coach from 1997 to 2007. Now the longest-serving head coach in program history, his tenure has propelled the Panthers to unprecedented heights.

  • An Outstanding Record: A remarkable 151–58 record during his head coaching tenure.
  • Decade of Dominance: Seven consecutive seasons with 10 or more wins (2014–2020).
  • Championship Culture: 13 conference titles—including an incredible streak of nine consecutive championships from 2014 to 2022—and 9 district championships.
  • State-Level Success: Four appearances in the state semifinals (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020) and a thrilling run to the state championship game in 2016.

Through nearly three decades of dedication, Coach Bacon has transformed the FZN football program into a regional standard of excellence.
