FZN has triple threat at the plate!

The FZN softball team has experience some ups and downs so far this season but one thing is for certain; the trio of Mikala Guthrie, Julia Vedvig, and Sydney Sontheimer is off to an impressive start at the plate. Guthrie, a senior and returning "All-Conference" selection, leads the Panthers with an impressive .512 average. She has hit 2 home runs and collected 12 RBI's so far this season. Vedvig, a junior, is batting .472, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 11. Sontheimer, a sophomore, currently leads the team with 16 runs batted in. She currently sports a .432 average with 2 home runs. As a team, the Panthers have won two of their last three contests, both conference victories. Next weekend (9/15 - 9/16), the Panthers will host their annual invitational tournament on the North High campus. Games are scheduled for both Friday night and Saturday.
