FZN maintains "City" bragging rights!
The Panthers defeat FZW 36 - 14 to remain unbeaten in 2015.

The Panther Football team moved to 2 - 0 on the season with a decisive 36 - 14 victory over cross-town rival Fort Zumwalt West. In the game billed as the “Battle of O’Fallon”, the Panther defense led the way as they held West to just two scores on the night. Leading tacklers on the night were: Blake Wilson with an impressive 18 solo tackles, Dre’ Hathaway and Dacey Brister with 12 tackles each, and Tavian Robinson with 11 tackles. Bryce Rowles contributed with a safety and Jacob Cecil had a key interception to add to the strong defensive effort.
On offense, Cade Brister was the leading rusher for the Panthers with 188 yards and 3 touchdowns. Austin Cox scored on a 56 yard touchdown run, and Marcus Jones had a 39 yard touchdown run to round out the Panther scoring.
In addition to the standouts on both the offense and the defense, Jonathan Banowetz continued his stellar play on special teams. He kicked 4 extra points, 5 touch backs, and averaged just over 40 yards per punt.

This Friday (9/4), the Panthers travel to Troy to take on the Trojans. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
