FZN maintains "City" bragging rights!

The Panthers defeat Zumwalt West 45 - 35.

The FZN football team defeated Fort Zumwalt West 45 - 35 in the annual "Battle of O'Fallon" game played last Friday night. This marked the fourth consecutive victory for the Panthers over their cross town rival. The victory was not one that came easily for the Panthers as the game was a back and forth battle throughout much of the contest. The offense was led by Jack Ederer who put up impressive numbers, rushing for 137 yards, passing for 63 yards, and scoring 4 touchdowns, to lead the Panther attack. Jacob Triplett (60 yards rushing), Cario Payne (60 yards rushing), and Grant Latina (43 yard receiving) also contributed to the balanced offensive performance.

The defense was led by Jaylin Vaughn who led the team with 9 individual tackles and 4 assists. Three Panther defenders: Marius Smith (2), Mareon Lowery (1), and Ben Davis (1) all recorded sacks for the defense.

For the second straight week kicker Owen Sears was a perfect 6 for 6 in extra point attempts. Sears also added a 34 yard field goal to the Panther point total.
