FZN Panther Players to present The Crucible!

The annual FZN fall play runs from November 15 - November 17

The Fort Zumwalt North Panther Players will present Arthur Miller's classic, The Crucible, on Thursday, November 15th, Friday, November 16th, and Saturday, November 17th. All shows will start at 7:00 pm. Tickets at the door will be $7.00.

The Crucible features Daniel Behlmann as John Proctor, Mia Millican as Elizabeth Proctor, Noah Mueller as Reverend John Hale, and Claire Schwalb as Abigail Williams. Other cast members include Greg Hawbaker, Alex Pohlman, Javier Clayborne, Brett Jones, Kyle Kehoe, Camden Hovis, Tyler Bodkin, Rylee Fryer, Jordyn Grimes, Sophia Mueller, Jenny O'Leary, Rosemary Roberts, Emily O'Leary, Sierra Burton, Morgan Bartold, Eliza Schnelle, Arianna Cooper-Kowaleski, Catie Bush, Grant Jones and Emily Sigmund.

Based on historical people and real events, Miller's dram is a searing portrait of a community engulfed by madness. In the rigid Puritan Society of the late 1690's Salem, young girls are discovered dancing in the woods. When confronted with their actions, two of the girls "fall sick", leading extremists in the town to lay their suspicions to witchcraft. Promised mercy if they lead officials to the Devil's servants, the girl begin to cry out the names of witches residing in the town. Greed, envy and spite motivate more people to accuse their neighbors, resulting in mass hysteria. Written in 1953, The Crucible is a mirror Miller uses to reflect the anti-communist panic inspired by Senator Joseph McCarthy's "witch-hunts" in the United States.
