FZN rolls to a 5th straight victory!

In front of a festive "Homecoming" crowd the FZN football team defeated Holt 63 - 7 last Friday. The win marked the 5th straight for the Panthers who remain unbeaten (3 - 0) in GAC Central play. The Panthers scored early and often against Holt, racing out to a 56 - 7 lead before the end of the first half. The Panther offense was led by the play of Deiondre Stockton (101 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns), Cade Brister (98 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns), and Jack Ederer (88 yards rushing and a touchdown). Brister and Joel Hilliard combined to throw for 133 yards. Jacob Triplett grabbed the only Panther touchdown through the air. Defensivly the Panthers recorded a season high three interceptions, one each by Eli Lewis, Jaylin Vaughn, and Cerry Watson. Vaughn and Lewis led the defense with 14 individual tackles each, while Mareon Lowery chipped in with 8 individual tackles.

This Friday (9/30) the Panthers host Wentzville: Liberty in their last regular season home contest. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Liberty is competing as a member of the GAC Central for the first time this season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm. Senior members of the football team will be recognized prior to kickoff.
