FZN Softball

The FZN Softball team completed another solid week of play. After clinching the conference title early last week, the team completed the conference schedule with a perfect 8 - 0 record by defeating Fort Zumwalt South by an 11 - 1 margin. In other games, the Panthers avenged an early season loss to Timberland with a 5 - 4 walk-off victory, before extending their winning streak to 14 games with victories over St. Charles (5 - 0) and Hazelwood West (15 - 2). The winning streak, 14 games, finally came to an end in the finals of the FZN Tournament where the team fell to a talented Washington squad by a score of 6 - 3. The Panthers have by led by the bats of Abby Tillotson (.509), Taylor Dames (.500), Niki Swafford (.438), Sarah Langdon (.422), and Hannah Murphy (.400). The team has also relied on the solid pitching duo of Shelby Clark (9 - 1 - 1.03 ERA) and Abby Hlavaty (7 - 3 - 2.97 ERA).

The Panthers will complete their regular season this week with scheduled games against St. Charles West (10/2), St. Dominic (10/3), and Ritenour (10/4). Prior to the home game again St. Dominic on 10/4 all of the Panther seniors will be recognized.
