FZN Senior Mara George recently signed with Missouri Baptist University, located in St. Louis County, to play soccer for the Spartans. George is a three-year varsity team member for the Panthers who started last year at the mid-field position. She scored six goals with 2 assists last spring and is expected to be a major contributor to this year’s squad. In addition, George is a long-time member of the Lou Fusz United (Blue) soccer club. Her Lou Fusz squads captured State Championships in both 2017 and 2018.

Missouri Baptist is a NAIA member school that competes in athletics as a member of the American Midwest Conference. Last season the Spartans advanced to the AMC Tournament final before falling to eventual champion Columbia College. Missouri Baptist is coming off their 4th consecutive season to win at least 10 games. The Spartans finished 11 – 9 – 1 in 2019.
