Kate Bixby to continue "Futbol" career at McKendree
FZN Senior Kate Bixby becomes the third Panther athlete to sign with McKendree

FZN Senior Kate Bixby signed a national “Letter of Intent” to play soccer for McKendree University located in Lebanon, Illinois. She becomes the third student-athlete from Fort Zumwalt North to sign with McKendree. Bixby follows fellow Panthers, Hannah Murphy and Kaylee Gilbert, who both signed during the early signing period to play softball for the Bearcats. McKendree is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference and competes in the NCAA Division 2.
Bixby is a three year starter for the FZN varsity soccer team. Last season, Bixby was named a 2nd team “All-Conference” midfielder. Bixby was also on the conference’s “All-Academic” team. She is a long time member of the JB Marine soccer club. JB Marine captured the State Cup Championship in 2014. Bixby is one of several Panther starters returning for the spring season. In 2015, FZN completed one of their most successful seasons in recent history and hopes to build on that success in 2016.
