King to go mining!

Lauren King signs to play softball with Missouri S&T.

FZN Senior Lauren King recently signed to play softball for the University of Missouri - Science and Technology. King was a standout player for the Panthers, who won a second straight District title, in addition to winning a portion of the conference title for the third consecutive season. She batted an impressive .476 while swatting 3 home runs to go along with her 27 RBI’s. For her efforts in the fall, King was selected as a 1st team “All-Conference” infielder.

King also excelled in the classroom carrying a 3.7 GPA. She was a member of the GAC Central “All-Academic” team. At Rolla, King plans to major in engineering.

The S&T Miners compete at the NCAA Division 2 level and are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
