Learn about safety, have fun at the O’Fallon Police Department’s Community-Oriented Public Safety (COPS) Day

The whole family is invited to watch K-9 demonstrations, check out equipment used by law enforcement teams, tour the O’Fallon Police Department and learn more about safety at the O’Fallon PD’s Community-Oriented Public Safety (COPS) Day. The open house will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre, 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Admission and parking are free.

New this year, kids can visit a petting zoo and get a pony ride, free, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., and a bounce house will be available throughout the event. O’Fallon Police Explorer Post 2943 will have safety helmets for sale. Educational kids’ activities include a certified children’s safety program with an O’Fallon Police Department certificate and goodie bag for the first 500 children who complete the required activities. Concessions for sale will include $3 meals of hotdogs, chips and a drink.

Equipment to be displayed includes O’Fallon Police Department vehicles, the St. Louis Metropolitan Air Support helicopter, the O’Fallon Fire Protection District’s Smoke House, the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department Bomb and Arson display and SWAT team equipment.
