FZN Senior Casey Mareschal recently accepted a athletic scholarship to Park University. Casey plans to play baseball for the Pirates. Park University is an NAIA school located in Kansas City, Missouri and competes in baseball as a member of the American Midwest Conference. Mareschal has been a member of the varsity baseball team at FZN since his freshmen year. He will finish his career as one of only a handful of FZN players to have earned four varsity letters in the sport of baseball. Last spring, Mareschal batted .322 as a member of the Panthers district championship team. For his efforts, he was selected as a 2nd team member of the "All-Conference" baseball squad. Mareschal, who split time between catcher and 1st bast for FZN, also plays for the Rawlings X-treme baseball club. This past summer, Mareschal put up a impressive .425 average for the X-treme.
