Nortrup to continue soccer career!

FZN senior Alex Nortrup recently committed to William Woods University, located in Fulton, Missouri, to play soccer for the Owls. Nortrup is a three-year member of the varsity soccer program at FZN, primarily playing at the center/midfield position. Last season the Panthers finished with a 12 – 7 overall mark. Nortrup is a versatile player known for her toughness on the field. She has a wealth of soccer experience, playing on the club level for many years. Nortrup currently plays club soccer for the St. Louis Development Academy (formerly known as Sporting). In addition to playing soccer, Nortrup has lettered in both cross country and wrestling at FZN. An excellent student, who sports an impressive 4.119 GPA, Nortrup has twice earned all-conference academic honors.

William Woods is a NAIA institution that competes in athletics as a member of the American Midwest Conference. The Owls, who are currently 6 – 8 – 2 on the season, have two (Chloe Overkamp – 2019, and Makenzie Boyle – 2021) FZN graduates on the squad. At William Woods, Nortrup plans on studying criminal justice with an emphasis on cyber security.
