O'Fallon's Back-To-School Sales Tax Holiday Runs Aug. 2-4
Tax-exempt purchases include school supplies and clothing.

OβFallon shoppers will get a break from paying local and state sales taxes on many back-to-school items when Missouriβs Sales Tax Holiday goes into effect atΒ 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 2.
The tax break continuesΒ throughΒ midnight on Sunday, August 4.
The list of tax-exempt purchases falls into four categories:Β

- School supplies (up to $50 per purchase)
- Clothing (up to $100 per item)
- Personal computers (not to exceed $3,500)
- Computer peripheral devices (not to exceed $3,500) and computer software (taxable value $350 or less)
βWe encourage all OβFallon residents to support our local businesses by βKeeping It in the Oβ and shopping in the City for back-to-school items,β said Mike Hurlbert, OβFallonβs Director of Economic Development.Β
βEvery local purchase contributes to OβFallonβs economic vitality and supports our Cityβs businesses,β Hurlbert said.
