FZN Senior Connor O’Neal recently committed to North Park University, located in Chicago, Illinois, to play football for the Vikings. O’Neal was a two-year starter for the Panthers on the gridiron. During his junior campaign, O’Neal played primarily on the defensive side of the ball, where he captured 1st team “All-Conference” honors as both a defensive back and punter. O’Neal switched things up his senior season, as he played quarterback for the Panthers. Leading the Panthers triple-option offense, O’Neal rushed for 1039 yards on 213 attempts, while scoring a team high 14 touchdowns. O’Neal also threw for 1080 yards and 13 touchdowns. For his efforts, O’Neal was placed on the GAC Central’s “All-Conference” 1st team as an athlete. He was also named “All-District” at the quarterback positon. O’Neal also lettered in both track and wrestling at FZN.

North Park is a NCAA Division 3-member school that competes in athletics as a member of the CCIW (College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin). O’Neal plans on studying criminal justice at North Park with hopes of someday working for the FBI.
