A pair of Panthers sign with McKendree!

Two cornerstones of the FZN softball programs, Hannah Murphy and Kaylee Gilbert recently signed a ”Letter of Intent” to play softball at McKendree University located in Lebanon, IL.

Murphy was an “All-Conference” and ”All-District” performer for the Panthers this fall. She hit an impressive .479 with 4 home runs and 33 RBI’s. Murphy was also the top pitcher for the Panthers. She was a key member of the Panther teams that won consecutive district and conference titles in 2012 and 2013.

Gilbert was also named as a member of the “All-District” team this fall. She was a 2nd team “All-Conference” selection. Gilbert batted .365 with 1 home run and 18 RBI’s for FZN. A stand-out behind the plate, Gilbert was the top catcher for the Panthers in each of the past two seasons.

Both Murphy and Gilbert were selected as member of the GAC Central “All-Academic” team.
