Panther Band Members Perform at All-State Conference!

Lilly Moyer, Scotty Russell and Andrew Wersching represent North High at conference.

Lilly Moyer, Scotty Russell, and Andrew Wersching recently performed at the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference. The trio was selected for this honor based on their successful auditions for the All-District Metro 8 Honor Bands, a competitive circuit that includes students from Fort Zumwalt, Francis Howell, St. Louis Public Schools, and all private and Catholic schools across St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and portions of Jefferson County. Typically, this initial process involves approximately 1,500 auditioning students.

Once selected for the Metro 8 Honor Band, students become eligible to audition against top musicians from every other district honor band across the state (Missouri Classes 1–6). Students who advance through this rigorous statewide audition earn the opportunity to perform at the MMEA conference at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Moyer, Russell, and Wersching are all members of North High's highly regarded marching band and also perform with the school's jazz band, both under the direction of Matt Schultz. North High congratulates Scotty, Andrew, and Lilly on their incredible performance with the All-State Band! Representing the "Panther Pride" at this level is a monumental achievement.
