Panther Basketball to "Paint it Pink"
The girls and boys teams play host to Holt tonight.

Tonight (2/6) the FZN basketball squads will host their annual “Paint it Pink” night. The teams will play host to conference rival Holt High School. The event, which has been organized by the FZN Leadership class taught by Stacie Wulfert, in conjunction with the American Cancer Society aims to bring awareness to the prevention and treatment of cancer. The Leadership classes have sold t-shirts during the week, with the profits of those sales being donated to the American Cancer Society. The FZN Boosters will also donate a percentage of the concession profits to the A.C.S.
FZN student, Maggie Bohannan, and FZN staff member, Sherry Pfuhl, who are both cancer survivors will take part in a ceremonial tip-off before both the boys and girls games.
The FZN girls basketball team recently defeated Fort Zumwalt East (40 - 33) and O’Fallon: Christian High (32 - 23) to improve to 8 - 12 on the season. The team has been paced by the play of Rachel Pudlowski (13.2 ppg.) and Caitlyn Delaney (8.0 ppg.).
