
The FZN football team defeated Wentzville: Liberty by a score of 65 - 18 in their most recent contest. With the win, the Panthers move to 7 - 0 on the season (4 - 0 GAC Central). The Panther offensive attack was in overdrive as the team racked up a season high 643 yards of total offense! Head Coach Joe Bacon credited the Panther offensive line, consisting of: Trevor Olson, Kader Nadiaye, Eli Lewis, Calvin Pieper, and Gavin Stricker for the offensive explosion. Jack Ederer (171 yards) and Jacob Triplett (141 yards) both rushed for over 100 yards on the evening, while Marion Lowery (54 yards) and Joel Hilliard (70 yards) also contributed to the Panther rushing game. Ederer was nearly perfect in the passing game as he completed 10 of 11 passes for a total of 114 yards and two touchdowns. Ederer (2), Triplett, Lowery, Hilliard, Bryce Rowles, King Rue, and Grant Latina all scored touchdowns against the Eagles.
The Panther defense was led by Bryce Rowles (12 tackles), Trevor Olson (8 tackles), and Eli Lewis (8 tackles). Kyle Mallett and King Rue both pulled down interceptions for the Panthers.
This Friday (10/6) the Panthers will host district rival Fort Zumwalt South. The game will kick-off a weekend of "Homecoming" festivities for North High. The Panthers will have a chance to wrap-up their fourth straight outright conference crown with a victory over the Bulldogs. Kick-Off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
