The FZN boys team finished as team runner-up. Timberland won the boys division and Fort Zumwalt South captured the girls race.

Head Coach Josh Janisse shared his thoughts following the race, "I thought our guys ran well and overall it was a nice start to the season. Seth Gleason (3rd place) ran particularly well for us. This was one of his highest varsity finishes. I was pleased with the performance of the Hill's (Belle and Michael - no relation) who both earned medals in their first varsity race. We're hoping for a good showing at the First Capitol meet next week. I'd really like to see us earn a team trophy at that race. I really like the potential in this year's group of runners and I'm excited the competition season is here"

The Panthers next competition is scheduled for this Friday (8/31) at the First Capitol Invitational held at McNair Park in St. Charles. The meet is hosted by St. Charles High School. The first race is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm.
