Panther Players attend State Conference
The Missouri State Thespian Conference was held in Kansas City.

The FZN Panther Players attended the Missouri State Thespian Conference held in Kansas City the weekend of January 8 - 9. The trip proved to be a success for FZN as number of groups and individuals received recognition for their performances. Troupe 5140 was named Honor Troupe for exemplary work throughout the year. Zach Brunkorst was selected to stage manage for the “Page to Stage” event, and was selected as the assistant stage manager for the 2017 All-State productions of “Iphigenia”!
In individual events, Tessa Knopf, Krysta Fitzgerald, Madison Crosswhite, Natalie Irlmeir and Olivia Thompson brought home a Superior rating in Group Musical. Ally Jones, Baily Robischeau, Brook Teson and Cameron Wulfert also brought home a Superior Rating and performing for the 2000 conference delegates at the IE Showcase.
The Tech Challenge Team has a strong showing, with Jake Wilson, Luke Schrand, Ashton Green and Laura Sigmund taking third place in Fold A Drop and Ashton taking second place in Light Hang and Focus. State Champions included Laura Sigmund in Sew a Button, Laura and Molly Engel in the Costume Quick Change, and for the third year in a row, Luke Schrand took first place in Knot Tying with a time of 9.5 seconds. The Tech Challenge Team also grabbed the Overall State Champion Title! All of the event winners will be invited to showcase their talents at the Fine Arts Advocacy Day in Jefferson City.
