The Fort Zumwalt North High School "Panther Players" will perform the play 12 Angry Jurors on February 1st - 3rd. On February 1st, the FZN student-council will host a senior citizen dinner prior to the show. Any senior interested in attending the dinner/show should contact Sheryl Toews in the FZN Activities Office at (636) 542 - 7022. The dinner and show are free to the first 100 seniors who reserve seats.
The play is set in the 1950's, a young man from the slums is on trial for murdering his father. Twelve jurors convene to determine his fate. The overwhelming majority are reading to convict, mostly because of personal bias and prejudice. Juror #3 (played by Danny Behlmann) has a rebellious son. Juror #7 (played by Bailey Robischeau) just wants to leave. Juror #10 (played by Domonick Peters) is dangerously hostile and believes that a kid from the slums could never amount to anything. When Juror #8 (played by Charles Roberts), attempts to point out some flaws in the defense's case, he is met with confusion and sometimes, hostility.
The production also features FZN students: Noah Mueller, Madison Crosswhite, Tessa Knopf, Joshua Nigus, Emily Sigmund, Javier Clayborne, Brett Jones, Emily O'Leary, Gage Hawbaker, and Bobby Wessel.
