
The FZN football team continued it's winning ways last Friday night as the Panthers scored a solid 56 - 21 victory over conference foe Wentzville: Holt. The Panther's were an offensive juggernaut scoring 49 points in the first half, essentially sealing the game with a 21 point spurt in the final minute of the first half. King Rue, Grant Latina, and Cario Payne combined for 136 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. Jack Ederer, Payne, and Joel Hilliard followed the stout blocking of the "Big Deer" Kader Nadiaye as the trio rushed for 7 touchdowns. Ederer is one of the leading scorers in the St. Louis area, as he now has 15 rushing touchdowns on the season.
After giving up two early scores to a Holt offense that was averaging 41 ppg, the Panther defense locked in and shut down the Indians. Bryce Rowles led all Panther tacklers with an impressive 12 individual tackles. Rowles also added an interception to the Panther defensive effort. Marion Lowery (8 tackles) and Maurius Smith (7 tackles) also had big nights for the Panther D.
Special team's stand-out, Owen Sears, was a perfect 8 for 8 in extra point attempts.

The win pushed the Panthers to 6 - 0 on the season and 3 - 0 in conference play. The Panthers are just two wins away from a 4th consecutive conference title. This Friday, the Panthers travel to Liberty High School to play the Eagles. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
