The Panther football team recorded a 46 - 13 victory over conference rival Fort Zumwalt East last Friday night. The victory moved the Panthers to 3 - 1 on the season. The team has now won three consecutive games after dropping the season opener to Ladue. Against East, the offense led the way as the Panthers scored on each of the team's seven possessions. The offensive line consisting of Trevor Olsen, Alex Jetton, Zack Steele, Kader Ndiaye, Nick Williams, and Nick Rogers led the way for the Panther offense as they continually opened holes throughout the contest for Panthers ball carriers. Cade Brister continued his stellar play as quarterback as he ran for three touchdowns and passed for three more. King Rue pulled down two of Brister's touchdown throws, while Zack Stanner, Deiondre Stockton, and Jake Cecil also scored for the Panthers.
On the defensive side of the ball the team was led by Jacob Triplett (10 tackles and a fumble recovery), Bryce Rowles (9 tackles and a sack), Eli Lewis (8 tackles and a fumble recovery), Trevor Olson (6 tackles and 2 sacks) and Cade Brister (5 tackles and an interception).
This Friday (9/16) the Panthers travel to Washington for a GAC Central match-up with the Blue Jays. Washington enters the game with a 3 - 1 record. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
