The FZN football team remained undefeated on the season with a 54 - 14 victory over Fort Zumwalt East. The game was the GAC Central opener for both teams. The Panther offense was sparked by the effort of Jack Ederer who ran for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns while throwing for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns. Other major offensive contributors were Jacob Triplett and King Rue who combined for 10 receptions and 3 touchdowns. Mareon Lowery added 84 tough rushing yards and 2 touchdowns for the Panthers.
On the defensive side of the ball the leading tacklers were Kyle Mallet, Bryce Rowles, Eli Lewis and Jaylin Vaughn. The Panthers forced the Lions into 6 turnovers, 3 being interceptions by Jack Ederer (1), Jacob Triplett (1), and Trevor Olsen (1).
The Panthers return home this Friday (9/15) to host the Washington Blue Jays in a GAC Central match-up. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
