Panthers win the battle of the big cats!

FZN football wins their second straight.

The Panther football team recorded their second consecutive shutout, a 37-0 win over district rival Ft. Zumwalt East, last Friday night. The Panther defense put the first points of the night on the board, after recording a Safety on East’s first possession. The stingy Panthers were led by the defensive efforts of PJ Henderson, who recorded a season-high 14 tackles. Other defensive standouts included: Chaun Robinson (9 tackles), Austin Bauer (9 tackles), Shane Pruitt (9 tackles), Andy Guthrie (7 tackles) and Xaiver Jackson (7 tackles). The Panther offense was led by DJ Jones, who ran for 83 yards and 3 touchdowns. Maurice Hamilton and Daunte Kerr were on the receiving end of quarterback Connor O’Neal’s two touchdown passes. A kick return from Brayden Miller rounded out the Panther scoring on the night.

This Friday the Panthers play host to conference rival Washington. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
