Police: Man Scammed, Sends Money to United Kingdom
The following information was supplied by the O'Fallon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Property Damage
- Tires were damaged in the 100 block of Lamplighter Way on March 17.
- Drywall was damaged at Westhoff Park on March 18.
- A lock set was damaged in the 1200 block of Highway K on March 18.
Stealing
- A victim at Rambling Oak Drive was scammed. He received a check to be a secret shopper then wired money to the United Kingdom. The original check was fraudulent.
- Food was stolen in the 8600 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway.
