State Wrestling Day Two

A few Fort Zumwalt North wrestlers remain after the second round in the championship.

Day two of the 2011 Missouri Wrestling State Championships has come and gone.

Only 112 of the 896 wrestlers that survived day one still have a shot to win a state title. Here’s a recap of how some of the O'Fallon-area schools have done so far:

Class Three:

Fort Zumwalt North – In seventh place with 52 points.

Zach Nelson advanced to the finals of the 112-pound weight class with his third win of the tournament. He will compete tomorrow for the state title against Jaret Singh from Kearney.

Cole Reedy defeated Payne Hatter from Neosho to earn a spot in the 152-pound championship. He will face Tyler Loethen from Helias.

Andrew Moore will battle for third place in the 152-pound tournament.  

Ryan Roth also has a shot at third place in the 215-pound bracket.
