Stuppy to cheer for the Redhawks!

FZN Senior Alyssa Stuppy to cheer for Southeast Missouri State University.

FZN Senior Alyssa Stuppy recently tried out for and successfully made the varsity cheer squad at Southeast Missouri State University located in Cape Girardeau. Stuppy participated in cheer all four years while at North High, including three years as a varsity squad member. This past school year, Stuppy was also a member of the Panther girls tennis team. Stuppy began her cheerleading pursuits as an 8th grader, participating with the Jr. Panther cheer squad. During the summer of 2017, she was named as a cheer "All-American" by the Universal Cheer Association for her efforts at one of the organization's annual summer camps.

Southeast Missouri, whose moniker is the Redhawks, is a NCAA Division 1 institution. The Redhawks compete as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference. The cheer squad performs at football, basketball, and gymnastics events.
